Thermal labels are made on a thermally sensitive material, covered with a layer of thermo-active material, which by point-warming changes its color to black. It is unnecessary to use ribbons. Labels for the sake of durability and the possibility of fast fading of the print are used there for the period of lasting of the label does not exceed 6 months.
Thermal transfer labels made of self-adhesive papers are used with the required higher resistance to external conditions, which is why they work well in any industry. The information printed with the use of ribbon is durable, resistant to UV light and temperature. Their main task is to identify bulk units for dispatch and during transport. Most often these labels are made of matt or semi-gloss paper. They ensure good print quality, being an inexpensive solution for identifying goods.
To ensure high resistance to changing weather conditions (humidity, temperature, etc.), labels made of synthetic materials can be used: PE, PP or PET films.
